Sprint Touch Pro keyboard part?

hey all...

I have had the TP for almost 11 months... the same phone, lol... no replacements, and after energy rom 3, absolutely no complaints. I used the hell out of this thing, I have about a 950mb PIM file with all the txt and emails etc, i definitely got my moneys worth imo.

Last week I was getting the dreaded keyboard issues, lagging, not working etc, and today she finally gave up the ghost. I guess I consider myself lucky. It only took one "nasty" spill but I had one of those carbon fibre looking cases on it and all seemed fine.

Today, Mr. TP has no sliding kb lights, no kb action, and is locked in landscape mode... so I fear the worst for the keyboard ribbon.

Is that what we need to fix ? I don't see the bottom side ribbon that tears though in that shot, but if memory serves me correctly you wouldn't see it from that angle cause its all bent around into a rectangle.

By chance this happens to be THE day for the TP2 for sprint. I am going down to the sprint store regardless to see what they have to say about it. I have insurance that I paid monthly through them, so hopefully they wont beat around the bush.

To almost a year of trouble free operation under heavy pressure, I salute my 0 day TP... clearly a rarity =)

they will probably change your keyboard. they did that for me yesterday. If they fix the keyboard your probably better off than getting a refurbished. You never know what will be wrong with it.

I just got back from sprint ant they changed my keyboard too. I like it I didnt want a refurbised phone. so far there is no lag at all but I will wait and see. I am happy with my touch pro again.
