that is a coreplayer bug, it has nothing to do with clock speed.

Change the video to directdraw (or use WMP for playback)& the problem disappears...

Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

It definitely helps me in coreplayer. with raw framebuffer I see about a 30% increase in play speed, with QTV I get an extra 3.5 fps, it makes a big difference. still can't do directdraw though...

also the overclock does not persist. I will set it once and then a few hours later I will check and it will be back to 528mhz. it definitely makes a big difference while active though.

Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

doesn't work on my stock sprint tp at all LOL. Of course not. Just my luck. I bet mine barely runs at 528 as it is.

Same, locks up the second I select Yes or whatever the option is. Oh well, I'm fine with stock speeds...everything I use runs perefectly and 2 days of battery life is fine by me.

You're correct that it wouldn't make any difference to you - if you're happy with reencoding every file you come across. I, however, bought coreplayer to be able to play files without conversion. Now that's possible for SD files (I use avi's) via TV Out. Before, too many frames were skipped, now there's none.

If I'm running out to meet friends and share a movie - it's nice to be able to just drop it onto my phone and get moving.

Another nice improvement is added framerate for video games and emulators - though I find they're still not perfect.

Back to videos - I still don't get perfect playback with coreplayer. Though the speed is 100%, on certain fast action scenes I get what I can only describe as screen tearing - unless I use QTV Display. Which, of course, introduces the blue flicker again.

Works great for me. It froze once and refused the start wifi once. It works if I cut off Wifi then start the program. I think performance improvement is pretty dramatic.

Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

It works perfectly for me. Every now and then it might freeze the phone (about twice in the past 4 days, and it only happens when I try to overclock as soon as I power on). Otherwise it works perfect, and the improvement is AWESOME!!

Anyway, my only suggestion to you No2Chem, is that it be implemented into nuedynamicclock. NueDynamicClock sets the phone to clock the processor to 528 on boot up, forcing me to have to run the overclocker tool after every soft reset. I tried putting it in the startup folder, but if I do that then the window pops up and then disappears immediately.

Anyway, that's a small issue. And, it's one that I'm perfectly willing to live with until another update comes around. Thanks for helping make our phones so great!!

Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

LOL I feel really stupid. I never actually ran the CAB; just installed it. So no, my TP was not overclocked. Gotta love placebos.

NOW it is overclocked and still working well on AC and battery. Still don't notice much of a speed improvement though.
