Exclamation mighty rom draining battery

Has anyone else experienced their battery draining down unusually fast since putting mighty rom 6 on their TP? If so, how do you correct it from draining the battery. I can not make it through til noon without my battery being down to nothing. Help????

Re: mighty rom draining battery

I'm on MightyRom 6 from July 18. I have yet to see consistent results with the battery life. Some days it will last all day, other days it will die within 6 hours. I always put it on the charger when I go to bed and take it off when I get up in the morning. I'm pretty sure my issue is some of the other programs I have installed (like GPSToday). When I don't have any of those odd programs running in the background, it does seem to do pretty good, usually only down by 1-2 bars after an 8 hour work day and that's usually with fairly decent amount of texting. Oh yeah, and I'm on the standard/stock battery.

BT and data will kill battery in a few hours. Extra battery and charger a must!

Re: mighty rom draining battery

I put MR6 on mine a little awhile ago too, and the past few I ran (Mighty ROM 4, SSK, and a couple I built myself in Calkulin's Kitchen) were great on battery. my battery could last from 18-24 hours with moderate use (browsing, texting, calls, a little GPS, etc.) very easily, and a couple of times with low usage, it would even top 30 hours.

However, with MR6, with very little use, just phone calls and texting, it wouldn't even make 12 hours before it died completely. So, I would ditch that for now and go with something else. It is incredibly easy to build your own with a kitchen (like Calkulin's). It is literally a matter of checking boxes for things you want to include. I would heavily recommend that, it's I'm running right now, and I pulled my phone off the charger at 10:30 am, have used it moderately (texting, calls, and Google Maps), and I'm still at 73% 8 1/2 hours later at 7:30 pm.

Re: mighty rom draining battery

Did you not check the "CDMA HTC Touch Pro Upgrades" link at the top of the forum? When I looked, it was the top of page 2. Try searching this site specifically next time.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=50857

And don't worry about downloading any SYS, just scroll down to the second post under Kitchens and download 23017 if you want 6.5. The other (21054) is for 6.1.
