Re: which rom to upgrade

ha yeah.. i used energyrom for a while and liked it, but then it started acting up and i had to do a random hard-reset before i could PIMBackup. wouldn't recommend it.

now, to help out makskylan, ill "plug" a few good ones.

If you're looking for the most recent builds and lots of new functionality, eye candy and more, you should go with bikeanddestroyx's rom, Demolition----> http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=66799

If you're looking for speed, I would definitely go with Juicy 8----> http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ighlight=juicy

If you're looking for stability and battery life (and I mean it... the battery lasts FOREVER with this rom) go with MightyRom6-----> http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ighlight=juicy

mighty rom 6 is excellent, but i was less than impressed with the battery life. I had better battery life with mightyrom 4 (yes i know, 6.1 vs 6.5), and since he is a touch flo 3d lover, i think mr4 would be a better place to start. Personally, the best battery life and stability ive seen so far is with silence's 6.5 rom. FAR better battery life than mighty 6, however, its titanium only, so not for the manilla addict.

i've heard about silence's, but i've never flashed it before. what build is it? cause right now, i want to flash the newer builds (23037 right now). I wish there was a way to flash multiple roms and switch between them

build 23017. It seriously is the most flawless, fast, stable rom ive run yet. It doesnt come loaded with very much, but, that doesnt bother me as i have all programs that i want to run in cab format so that i can install them if a rom doesnt come prepackaged with it.

[edit] dual booting would certainly be badass. Its possible, just would require twice the space.

Re: which rom to upgrade

silence titanium is great, but VERY BASIC. nothing comes preloaded on it. it is fast though. psyki has a great rom all around, thats the rom i got best battery life out of. energy rom is nice also, right up there with psy. you can also download a kitchen and pick and choose what you want on it. u can go 6.1 or 6.5 manila or not and basic or loaded.

the kitchen you're talking about is for silence, right? i've always wanted to cook a rom using one but i dont know, are they easy to use? what's the risk?

Re: which rom to upgrade

i flashed the most popular ones and ended up going back to Merdin's. it's loaded and i can customize it any way i want w/out running into any problems, has the greatest battery life that i've found and it's fast. not the nicest startup screen but how long do you really have to look at that anyways.
