how do u browse /windows on device through WMDC on Windows7?

i know in older versions of windows when running activesync there was an option to show all hidden and system files on your mobile phone while browsing but i cannot figure it out now, all i see are my documents, program files, application data, documents & settings and a few files, windows is completely hidden and i want to use my pc to move around some shortcuts in my startmenu rather then in file explorer on the phone, anyone know what i need to change so that i can see my entire device through my pc

on computer, open control panel-appearance and personalization, then under folder options click on show hidden files and folders, then uncheck the box for hide protected oprerating system files

YA this is what I thought too at first, but he is saying there's a way that it will only show hidden files on the mobile device and not in windows folders.

hell i can't even get my wmdc to even open from the explore button it always errors out on my on vista.
