Question Storage Card disappearing?

Well this is a first (for me).

I was using TCPMP and went to load a file from my storage card (a link to a streaming radio station). It loaded. After a few minutes, I wanted to load another, so I went back to 'File.. Open'. My storage card was nowhere to be found in the list that appeared.

Thinking that TCPMP was seeing things, I started up File Explorer.. Nope, it couldn't see my storage card either.

Soft reset... Nope, still gone?

Powered off, removed storage card, reinserted.. It showed back up.

That has never happened to me on any device, all the way back to the 6700. What gives? Does this mean that the card or the device is failing?

Thanks.

Re: Storage Card disappearing?

The storage card disappears for me when I'm plugged in to USB. I think this is by design.

This was with the TP unplugged. For me, my Storage Card (and internal storage) show up when connected via an ActiveSync connection. I think that only the storage card appears in mass storage mode, but I don't use that mode enough to remember.

Thanks though..

Yes, the Storage card is presented to the PC in Mass Storage mode, and the PPC can't access it whilst in that state.
