HTC TP running slow

Some how my phone got wet last night while I was in the bathroom. I still dont understand how it got wet, but anyhow. Water was sitting on the screen and I pulled the battery and let it dry. Well, needless to say after a few hours of letting it dry it came back up and everything looks normal, just EXTREMELY slow. It seem like it was running a little faster, but not quite up to par, so I decided to load a new rom, and now its even slower. Im going to load the stock rom back up for now. Will running the dump rom software then loading a new rom help me out? Help me out guys, why would this thing be running so slow? please give advice guys.

If there was just water sitting on top of the screen and it wasn't wet anywhere else, I doubt much of anything happened to it. Did water get in anywhere else?

Also, please try to post in the correct forum in the future. This should have been in the general HTC Touch Pro forum instead of the upgrades forum.

Thanks, I do apologize. I recognized after posting that it was in the upgrade section. Im still new to the forum. As far as the phone getting wet, yes it was wet, but not surrounded with water. I dont know how it got wet, it was just wet. I wiped the water off and it looked ok, but when I placed the batter back in I notice that things werent alright. After drying out, it did work, but its extremely slow. Should I dump the ROM and flash the ROM again?

Re: HTC TP running slow

Thanks guys, turns out that there wasnt anything wrong with my phone. I flashed it again with the same rom with the same results, then I flashed it with the Mighty Rom and the slowness went away. So I tried the 6.1 version of the rom that I was trying instead of the 6.5 and everything works great.

Re: HTC TP running slow

I had this issue after a long talk on the phone outside in the Miami heat.. Screen blacked out and I just happened to be in downtown, so I hoped into the local repair center. He took a look at it and told me bad new, gotta replace the screen etc.. Then he comes out with the phone working, says he opened it and put to dry out some. When I went outside it blacked out again, he says just don't slide the keyboard out for a while and let it dry up some more, it will eventually start working normal. It did, for about week, until I got into another sweaty discussion on the phone, this time I knew just to let it dry up. Took 1.5 days to come back up, but this time sluggish. Took it in to a corporate store left it to then for 8 hours, rep said herself it was way too slow. Came back, they said it was working fine and gave it back to me. As soon as I turned it on it was exactly the same as I handed to them. I had to come back the next day because they closed when they handed me the phone back. I talked to the tech this time, and he didn't even have to look at it, just took my number and told me to come back tuesday afternoon to pick up my replacement.. Yay! um.. lol no... their AC broke when I go there tuesday they hadn't gotten my phone in yet, even tho they told me it was there when I called.. It was someone elses.. lol Anyways told me to come back the next day to get mine, so I did.. haha the store's AC broke and the computers/network systems went down, so they had to close the store. Needless to say I talked to the tech and asked to speak to the manager, both didn't want to give me my phone because they couldn't take it out of inventory to give it to me on their PCs.. I still insisted and told them I didn't need them tp xfer my contacts over and I could just swap esn online to activate it.. Both them wet and sweaty gave up and just handed me my replacement...

thanks for reading, lol
