Re: What Manila, Titanium, etc...

its hard to say whether manilla or titanium is better. personally the way i feel after flashing many roms, is that manilla is more user friendly to get customized and more familiar to a stock rom user, but is more bulky and less finger friendly. a 6.5 rom with titanium only is much more finger friendly (i never even pull out my stylus anymore unless on browsing the web), its more lightweight and seems to me to run smoother, and is more sleek and eye appealing. The first 6.5 rom i flashed i only used for about 20 minutes before i decided i didnt like titanium and went back to flashing 6.1 roms with manilla. after playing with manilla for a while, I decided to give titanium another go, and flashed a 6.5 rom. I havent gone back to manilla yet because im a bit more used to titanium, and more comfortable with modding it. it just takes time to get used to, but i think its safe to say i wont touch 6.1 again at this point.

Re: What Manila, Titanium, etc...

yeah but you can run Windows 6.5 with manilla like I do , I just think aside from Titanium being prettier there's no advantage to it. Manilla will get stuff done faster IMHO

i never said you CANT run manilla with 6.5, however, i dont see the point in it because the main feature of 6.5 that makes it better than 6.1 IS titanium.

even though i dont use manilla myself, i think i agree with you... unless you really get down titanium, do alot of custom panels and such, manilla might be easier to gain access to what u want faster..

right now, i just personally like the challenge of setting up titanium to my liking....

Yeah, the big thing from 6.5 to 6.1 is in fact Titanium. The default today screen on 6.1 wasn't finger friendly at all and Manila was a welcomed addition

But saying that, that doesn't make having manila loaded on your 6.5 pointless. Some prefer it over Titanium. Or they may run SPB MS3. It's just whatever.

Like I said before I prefer manila. Having the clock and calendar on my home screen w/o having to do all that vertical and horizontal scrolling is what keeps me preferring Manila

Re: What Manila, Titanium, etc...

I finally flashed my first custom ROM last night. I choose the MightyROM. I must say that's it's a lot faster than the stock Sprint ROM. I like Manila much more that Titanium. Easier for me to use. To each is their own as I like to say. So what is PagePool then?

What? Google is your friend. And that's not the topic of the thread...

Re: What Manila, Titanium, etc...

I'm in the same situation, trying to decide between flashing a Titanium or Manila ROM onto my VZW TP that's new as of last week - but I must tell you that SPB Mobile Shell 3 is really impressing me. Seems way more useful than TF3D, and looks a lot cooler that the Titanium screenshots I've seen...

Re: What Manila, Titanium, etc...

Ok, first of all I don't like google. Never have, never will. 2nd, I started this thread and if you read my first post, I asked what PagePool was. I do however notice I put "What Manilla" instead of "What's Manila" in the title. My mistake.

Flash a ROM with both?

MS3 is really good (functional), but sadly it has higher battery drain than both Titanium and Manila
