Re: question about tethering real quick

use data!. if you have the ICS hack then it will use data as normal.
Phone as modem i believe will notify your company that you are tethering.

Interesting...never had any issues in the past. I'll have to try it out.

While I don't do a lot of tethering since I have an AT&T card, I do get into areas where GSM isn't available.

Re: question about tethering real quick

I think there's like a 5gb cap on most services. I never exceed that so I'm not sure when or if they'll notify. So if you're not tethering for like Xbox live or some really data intensive stuff you might be fine. I've tethered on Phone as Modem accidentally for a few minutes and called Sprint and they were unaware.

Yeah, there is a 5GB cap. All cell companies are implementing this.

Many people have gone over this and have not seen charges. They are probably grandfathered in.

My AT&T data plan is unlimited and I recently activated a new one for a new employee at work and their plan is now 5GB and not unlimited.

I've gone over 5GB numerous times with AT&T and they have never charged me for overages.

That could be true...

I do believe Mighty has it integrated into his ROMs.
