Screen doesn't turn on

So my Touch Pro recently started acting up on me. I pulled it out of my pocket last night and the screen wouldn't turn on. I could tell it was on because the backlight and the other lights would turn on and off when I press the power button. I've never dropped my phone so I figured it was a software problem so I flashed to a couple other ROMs. It works for a few hours and then the same problem arises.

I'm guessing I'm going to have to return it. So, other than flashing back to the stock ROM, is there anything else I have to do to prep it for a return to Sprint?

Re: Screen doesn't turn on

An area with a low signal can cause a device to take a while to come on. Same with an application that is on the intensive side.

Re: Screen doesn't turn on

Did you install any applications at all after flashing the various ROMs? That type of problem screams "installed cab issue", particularly if the screen does eventually turn on (which to me rules out a hardware problem). Do you have anything installed on a memory card, and/or a really slow (or huge) memory card in place? What happens when you flash the stock ROM, install nothing, and don't use a MicroSD card?

As for returning, AFAIK you'd flash back to stock and relock. Instructions are in various places around here (I suspect there might even be a sticky).

Re: Screen doesn't turn on

Going back to stock and relock is all you will have to do to return it.
