Is there a hack to _reduce_ the screen resolution on the touch pro?

I think the touch pro has more resolution than I can use. I don't think at this screen size I could tell the difference between 480x640 and a much smaller 240x320.

But the extra size may be burning cpu cycles and battery power in a way that for my needs is just wasteful.

Would a software change that reduces screen resolution lead to any performance gains, and is it possible?

anything runnin in 240x320 would show up in the top left hand of your screen and be about a perfect 1/4 of the size of your screen.... you'd notice

im pretty sure what your asking is not an option... ive personally never heard of anything like it... but im far from the Plato in the WinMO world lol

I almost fell off my chair laughing when I read this. Too good...

I could never go back to the resolution of the Mogul.. Recently I viewed one of my client's Moguls and wondered how I ever got by with it. I am way too spoiled with the beauty of my TP.

If you are looking to improve battery life you may consider removing TF3D using one of the methods mentioned in these forums, and also cleaning the PIM portion of your phone ie: removing old e-mail and SMS messages.

nuechem has a great app that lets you underclock your TP. i use it and it really helps with battery life. check out his work. nuerom.com
