Opera keeps crashing

Hello, I've been using a lot different roms and this problem occasionally happens on all of them.

Sometimes when I click a link, while its loading opera browser crashes. Then I re-launch the browser and tries to go to the same site and crashes again. This happens occasionally but is annoying as hell when it happens.

I doubt it's the rom since it happens on nearly all roms I use. Examples: mighty mo, energy, juggalo, etc...

Is there any setting I can tinker with or something?

Have you cleared the cache, cookies, and history lately?

Well I just flash a new rom... so those should have been cleared and yet it happened again.

Edit: Last time I had a problem with the youtube player, and I deleted everything in the youtube folder and it works. Is there anything like that I can do for the Opera browser?

which opera are you using? i've got stock plus 9.7 beta and if stock is open, 9.7 crashes.

Maybe you need to set your cache higher?

I'm having the SAME issue. I went and cleared history, cookies, and cache... I DON'T recommend that... it deleted ALL of my bookmarks and now passwords aren't being remembered. Any suggestions as to why this happened?

How do you set your cache higher and what should I set it at?

Well, your bookmarks and passwords shouldn't have been deleted!
That sucks!
As far as the cache you can set that in the advanced settings.
Whatever it is set at just try increasing it and see if that helps.
It's prolly set somewhere around 28,000. Increase it to 38,000 or 48,000.
Might Help cause certain sites may need more cache to load.

Passwords seem to be working again... but bookmarks/folders were lost.

I tried your suggestion... increased to 48000... still crashes. running stock rom... Opera 9.5 build 15613. Any other suggestions?

in opera settings, disable plug-ins.
