Re: How many Touch Pros?
Still on my original TP. Like a previous poster said, I treat it as a very expensive piece of equipment and am fairly careful with it.
My mogul was the same way. I bought it used off of eBay and it only had two hardware issues, both solved in the single new-in-box replacement the store gave me: The slider spring broke loose and poked up through the sections, and one of the keyboard letters - K, I think - went dead. People keep speaking of crappy HTC build quality - I just don't see it, and I've owned PPC's as far back as the 6700. One single 6700 worked just fine for me too. Here's some tips I use: 1) Use the wired headset or a bluetooth headset for calls. Don't hold the phone to your face. The pressure caused by your hand and head can flex the phone and damage connectors over time. 2) If it heats up and stops charging, open the slider. Don't let it sit there and bake. 3) Keep the battery as close to fully charged as you can. Li-Ion batteries, unlike previous technologies, like to be kept as full as possible. |

Re: How many Touch Pros?
I am still on my first TP from BB. Even though I have changed the ROM quite frequently, it's still as sturdy as the day when I bought it. I do have some cracks in my chrome bezel!!! I will be getting the TP2 when it hits the stores. I’ll have to pay full price, but I think it will be well worth it!!!

Re: How many Touch Pros?
I would still be on a sprint touch pro had I not did the dreaded switch to a sprint rom =/
to be honest, that was the best touch pro ty mzz but for verizon 5 touch pros one alltel and probably another sprint in a week...what a good time for touch pro I think I have been a bit lucky when it comes to devices. It has been user error for the reason why I switched from sprint to verizon touch pro. But in saying that as well, I think the first haul of touch pro (chrome crack included) had the best build quality for me. I had absolutely zero issues, no over heating, no keyboard dying out (and this was put in chicago winter they get very very cold and hot) all in all a good choice with sprint and alltel tpros...verizons all had the same issues... |

Re: How many Touch Pros?
I'm still on my first touch pro. Got it last November when sprint first released it. Chrome never chipped or cracked and it has been dropped a couple times.
