Touch Pro 3 Way Calling Frustration

Hey Guys,

Ever since I got the TP I have been very frustrated with the 3 way calling feature. Is there any way to just drag a contact into the call and thats it? Very frustrating having to touch all these buttons to get 3 ppl talking at once.

Re: Touch Pro 3 Way Calling Frustration

It's a limit of CDMA systems (Sprint, Verizon) and switch to GSM would help you on that problem.

Re: Touch Pro 3 Way Calling Frustration

Haha, he means that you should switch over to a GSM service, like AT&T or T-Mobile. Your phone won't work on those, since we're CDMA. I was able to get conference calling working with an easier way with one of the dialers I found here, but it wasn't perfect and I forgot which one it was. Currently, you can press the talk key while in call with someone, dial or call another person, and press the talk key again. That will have you in the conference.

All the CDMA versions of the Touch Pro 2 Have quad band Radio Features meaning it has the GSM radio in addition to the CDMA radio, However on the Sprint version @ least, they have disabled the ability to use US GSM, So you will only be able to use the GSM part when in other country's for roaming.

Unless the experts here or over @ XDA figure out how to unlock the GSM part to be able to Roam to GSM inside the USA.

Considering the Sprint Touch Pro has the fm radio and it is disabled I don't think they will have much luck unlocking the GSM for USA roaming say on AT&T or T-Mobile.

I could be wrong that might be one of the first hacks done, So please don't flame just posting to help people out and not get them confused about the Way the GSM radio is suppose to work on the CDMA versions of the TP2

QFT

I'm not sure they'll be easily able to hack the GSM to work in the US though. That could get Sprint and/or HTC in some pretty hot water since the device isn't licensed to be used in the US on GSM frequencies (FCC only approved CDMA).

Re: Touch Pro 3 Way Calling Frustration

I have had Sprint for a few years now, and the most effective way to 3 way conference call is like was post a couple of threads back. While in one call press talk then dial the other person then hit talk again. Forgot what app I tried but it kept disconnecting so I just do my 3 way calls this way. Yes you have to dial numbers but it has been the most effective way for me.
