Re: Is there a better text messaging app?
Every time I install Arcsoft, I can no longer dial. Can't access the phone keyboard with the hard or soft keys. Then I uninstall Arcsoft and all is good.

Re: Is there a better text messaging app?
Tried Vito SMS for an hour and can't wait to get if off my phone. The Windows SMS is so much better and it's free.

I use SMS-Chat with the TouchPal KB. ![]() This setup using T+ (their version of T-9) is WAY WAY faster than using the hardware KB (+ I never have to worry about the hardware KB problems) & it always works perfectly. When I first installed Rhodium in a previous ROM, it had the "no sim card installed" error when sending a text from TF. I never even realized my system had the problem however as SMS-Chat still worked perfectly. I use AEButton + to set up SMS-Chat to open with a double click of the round center button. That way, I can instantly open SMS-Chat ready to text from ANY screen no matter what I'm doing. This is the very first thing I do after any ROM flash. ~John |

Re: Is there a better text messaging app?

All it needs to do is let you type and hit send....Recieve MMS and display! I don't know maybe I'm just a minimalist! LOL |

hahahahaha I know, I know. A few things bother me. One is that I have fat fingers so clicking on the correct thread is iffy sometimes. The other is that when you go to the thread and read the last message, unless you highlight it, it still shows as unread in the counters. The biggest thing that bothers me has nothing to do with the program really, just the way they did the messaging in WM6.1. E-Mail and Text are done by the same program. The messaging program. So, I have WAD2 and have a theme I built. I have a button for e-mail and a button for sms. But you can't go directly to sms or e-mail. You have to go to the account picker screen and then to the text or e-mail section. This adds a click and slows things down. It just bothers me. There should be a command line argument available for that app. |
