aebplus keys rarely work

i have settings set for say,
vol down : 1 click -> arrow down
long -> volume down
right key -> 1 -> right arrow
-> long-> on/off wifi,


but this stuff rarely does it, most of the time, if i say click the volumes just once, it turns the volume down,
as well as the right, left up down keys seem to react the same way
the odd time they will work,

as well how do you get to adjust the back key?
