No Picture/Video Messaging HTC TP

I've looked all over this site and the Internet for an answer to my problem and only found what I think to be one for Sprint phones. I'm on Alltel.

I can't send or receive any type of picture or video message on my Touch Pro any way other than emailing it as an attachment through my Hotmail account, which is not acceptable since many (if not all) of my contacts don't have phones that can receive email.

When I create a text message, the "Insert" subheading under "Menu" is grayed out and can't be selected. If I navigate to the picture I want to send with File Explorer, hold the stylus over it and select "Send..." then it just creates an email with the picture as an attachment.

Right now, I'm completely stumped. I can't help but feel that I'm missing something very obvious though. Thanks for the help.

Running the latest MightyROM (WM 6.5) with SPB Mobile Shell 3.0

Most custom roms do not include the mms program because it is carrier specific. You just need to install the program for it.

also if you cant get it to work when you have acrsoft installed or any other mms program. another thing you can do if your for sure its not on your end is call alltel and tell them pciture messaging does not work and they will reset your mms profile. i had to do this for some reason on my last phone i activated

Woot! Thanks for the response. I'll check if the ArcSoft cab works.

EDIT: I installed the MMS program, and can now create picture and video messages, but they always fail to send no matter what. A message comes up after I try to send one saying something along the lines of "Your current connection may be disabled to send a MM message. Continue?" I press yes, and then get a message saying delivery failed. That happens every time.

Try changing the port number to 80 instead of 8080. I found that I have to have mine set that way to work.

Bingo. Installed that and dialed *228 option 2 and now it seems to be working. Get a "Message Sent" popup now. Cheers

Well... after doing some testing with a friend I discovered that I can send pictures just fine, but I can't receive them. I get the message in my inbox, but I can't download the content of it.

Any other ideas? I'll try switching the port to 80 now.

EDIT: Just tried sending another few pictures, and now none of them will send...I'm really starting to get angry.
