Well I flashed Alltel's newest ROM and picture messaging works now. The arcsoft it came with is version 5.0.69.59. I think I'll just stick with this ROM for now. I've been tweaking it and have been able to keep full functionality while removing nearly all traces of the Alltel taint.

Thanks to all that helped. When I reflash to a custom ROM, I'll report back here whether or not picture messaging still works.

wonder if it had anything to do with your pri as when you flash the newest alltel rom your pri is changed.

i'm actually dealing w/the exact same problem. i guess i'll just have to flash to the stock alltel crap rom and figure it out from there. let me know if you get yours working w/a custom rom!

also, where do i find alltel's newest stock rom? thanks

somebody should take that rom and take out the pri and the radio for the people who dont wanna ugprade that, but if ya think about it, if they did, what would be the point of that rom? newer 6.1?

OK, I feel dumb, but where are these settings? I installed the alltel arcsoft cab but I can not find where these settings are.

go to your text messages, then click on Menu-Pics & Videos Options-Server-Alltel MMSC

cant believe all i had to do was change name to alltel wireless. to make pic txt to work, thanks again
