cant create new email account

so i have my gmail account set up fine, but i cannot add another account, everytime i hit create new it just takes me to my gmail account....ontop of that i cant edit the settings in my gmail account i created....any ideas? fyi the gmail account is the only one i have so i havent hit the max number

Hmm, what kind of email account is it? (ex: Yahoo, aol, another gmail, or live, or something else?)

Also, are you using the stock ROM, or a custom ROM?

You can also try going into your gmail account, then clicking on the menu softkey, then going to tools, then clicking on new account.

Also, what kind of settings are you trying to change on your gmail account?

i dont even get the option to enter in the new account

i'm on silence rom 9

i tried the menu softkey, when i hit new account it takes me back to the inbox of the gmail account

to be honest i dont want to change any gmail settings cuz it already works, but i cant even get to the settings for gmail, thats the prob

i noticed this earlier on my phone when adding a new gmail account. menu, tools, new account would go straight to the inbox. menu, tools, options, add new account, worked just fine for me however. Im on MR6.

i dont have "add new account" as an option

also when i go to messaging i see: text messages, outlook email, gmail, sprint picture mail, and setup email....when i hit setup email it also takes me to the inbox of the gmail account

Have you tried deleting the gmail account, then adding the other account that you are trying to add, then going back in and re-adding the gmail account?

to be honest i'm scared to delete the gmail account since its working already...worried that i wont be able to add anything back

if no one can think of a fix i might just live with just my gmail account

You can try backing up everything using HTC Data Backup.
Last time I used it, it actually restored the full ROM image back to my device, everything included. File is attached.

Just throwing my 2 cents in. How much other customization do you have done?

thanks...i've done alot...spb3 with tha iphone theme, couple registry edits....but nothing i changed has to do with emails...strange issue
