The OP has probably already got it figured out, but for future reference:
The BB Device Manager has the option to transfer info from a smartphone/pda to bb device, with both of them being hooked to the laptop. Worked like a charm for me. Then through the DM, you can set up your BB to sync with Outlook. |

If you have a hotmail account you can download a small app for the touch pro called microsoft my phone at myphone.microsoft.com. Then you can back up all your files to the web and reaccess them from your black berry.
