Re: TP wont OTAP cricket

OTAP only works if you're using a non-EVDO PRL. We don't know why this happens, nor why it only seems to occur on the HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro.

The workaround is easy.

Just keep a copy of a non-EVDO PRL file on your phone. Any time you need/want to OTAP, simple load the non-EVDO PRL file first, by using the built-in EPST program, which is accessed using a special dialer code (that you should already be familiar with):

Sprint ROMS, dial ##775# (or ##778#) to open the EPST program.
All others, dial ##775 SEND (or ##778 SEND)

The phone will automatically restart after you manually load a PRL. If you did it correctly, your EV icon will be absent, and you'll see a 1X icon instead.

At this point, *228 will be successful (assuming the MEID is active on your account), and it should program your phone#/MSID/PRL/etc...

(but it will only work once, because OTAP will download an EVDO PRL to your phone.
As you can see the problem repeats itself, but this can be solved by following the directions in this post: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...88&postcount=2)
