Relocking

It seems no "Shipped ROM" exe exists for Telus, and I need to take my phone in for replacement. Radio isn't a problem, it was never changed.

I gather the only thing I do the following:
- Download dumped stock ROM (ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Raphael/Stock%20R...20ROM%20TP.rar)
- Flash ROM (following basically the same as upgrading a third party ROM)
- Relock phone (or is relocking only for shipped ROMs?)

Is that going to accomplish what I need?

I'm not THAT worried about it, as long as it "looks" stock. They've already looked at it once (speaker is too quiet), and ordered the replacement...so I doubt they'll notice if it's stock, but unlocked. Does the phone get sent it and checked further or anything?

My "experience" is limited to 1 unlock and flashing MightyROM twice...so I'm no pro. There isn't much detailed info on returning to stock, especially with dumped roms. Thanks for any tips/information.

Re: Relocking

You're quite correct. Just download the dumped ROM and flash that. Since the radio was never altered it will show just fine. Install the dumped ROM and relock your phone and it will indeed be as if it was never touched in the first place.

Re: Relocking

I have a Touch Pro Relocker program (ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Raphael/Users/Rap...A_Relocker.zip). Do I put it into bootloader and then run the relocker?

EDIT: Nevermind, took a guess and ran it in bootloader mode. It says it updated fine...but if I load the bootloader, it still says "Security Unlocked".

I don't know anything about Telus but I have had mine repaired and sent in for a replacement unlocked and had no issues with sprint.

Re: Relocking

Thanks for the info.

Can't wait to go in and get my new phone. I've been running MightyROM for too long...dealing with stock Telus is just painful.
