Dude, flashing is easy. Read the stickies in the upgrade section. Roms are all very different, but most of them are all stable and fast. Personally I would would go with MightyROM. I doubt you would ever brick your phone. Btw, this has been covered a million times. Please read. Folks around here will flame you all day for asking this type of question. Consider this a freebie.
btw, I'm not trying to come across rudely, and if I am I apologize as it is not my intention. I would like to see you try first, then ask the questions. Most of us are here to help.

Once you start you will never stop...
Even tough the chefs try their hardest to please everyone there seems to something that somebody is looking for not baked into the ROM. You should take a look at UC at add the stuff you know you want long term.
