I hate drawing attention to myself from people behind me through the use of a 2.8" blazing-white rectangle in a darkened theater.

don't go to the movies. it sucks when I'm at the theater and people in front of me are using their phones/pda's. quite distracting.

If you can't not text for 2 hours, wait till it comes out on DVD and watch it at home. Don't ruin it for others.

Oh! Here we go... The program I'm looking for would be analogous to Windows Blinds. I had a theme installed on my laptop in which the background for certain programs (Microsoft Office, for example) was turned from white to black. This saved me a ton of battery life as well.
