Need advice about converting many apps/GPS hack to Alltel Touch Pro from Alltel Touch

Due to this great forum I have benefited from some of the Alltel Touch improvement like ROM(no cooked ROMs yet) updates from HTC to the latest and GPS activation and fast lock-on. And I need advice to be sure I will be able to simply follow the same instructions from the Alltel Touch to get my new Alltel Touch Pro up to this level of use on the GPS and any other improvements that these similar devices can share.

I have an Alltel Touch for about a year and i'm switching from this phone to the Alltel Touch Pro and need advice on what to expect for switching over ALL my improvements on the Touch to the new Touch Pro such as GPS activation & fast-lock, etc.

How do you like your Touch Pro and have you ever used the "cooked" ROM's out there on it? If so, is it difficult to get into using cooked ROMs?
