I hardly every update my emails on my phone. And I have them set to that day only and manual download. That way it doesn't kill my battery downloading them all the time. I don't see a point in having them sync or loaded onto my phone unless I have the time to read the emails. Majority of the time that I do have the time to read my emails, I'm at the computer, so no point in syncing them then. It's just another way to kill your phone battery.

Go to Settings, Sounds & Notifications. Click on Notification tab. Select the event you want to edit, you would choose "Messaging:New e-mail message". Then turn off the flashing light option. I guess some ROMs have it greyed out, but most ROMs i use don't. If its greyed out then follow the link that jjs85 put up. -housinit |
