That's what I do, and it works great! Just remember to make sure your phone is NOT on silent or vibrate. Mine was the first time I hooked it up and I spent half an hour scouring my phone settings trying to figure out why I couldn't hear it

Re: What do I need to have my PHONE play on my CAR SPEAKERS?

I had a Motorola Bluetooth kit installed in my car...By far the best way to go.
It hooks up to your car radio and all you really need to do is turn on bluetooth and you get handsfree plus audio. great for use with the built in GPS as well!

This is the way to go... I tried the BT stereo route but the call quality was very poor. With the 3.5 adapter you can still wear your bt headset and calls will come in over the headset and music will play though the speakers. A car stereo with a 3.5 aux in is also a lot less expensive than one with good built-in BT.

I love my parrot bluetooth. You get complete handsfree with caller voice coming through your speakers and a small mic that you place somewhere near the driver's seat to pick up your voice. Mine's about 2 years old and I'm sure they have new kits now. http://www.parrot.com/usa

Re: What do I need to have my PHONE play on my CAR SPEAKERS?

To the guys who have the T505;

I tried it and it shuts off my music when a call comes through. Which is fine. But then when I end the call. It doesn't start the music back up. And it took me FOREVER to get it to play. Each time to set it up was like 30 minutes. For some reason it would NOT play through the playlist. Probably cause the music is on the SD card and not on the device?

Any tips? Also it kind of hurts using it in NYC. I have to change the channel every 10 minutes. But not bad actually. and it's selling for 40$-50$ shipped on ebay.

Re: What do I need to have my PHONE play on my CAR SPEAKERS?

i use the included dongle and plug in the old wired cassette tape adapter from old portable cd player... registers as a headset, so u can use the stock htc EQ too..

guess u need a tape deck in your car though for this one

Re: What do I need to have my PHONE play on my CAR SPEAKERS?

For a pretty cheap solution when you do not have an aux input and you do not want to wire anything up, you can go with the Jabra SP700. Work great and a very easy install.
