Re: Sprint .cabs zipped up for you....

First, thank you very much. Just what I was looking for. This is the sort of thing that should be sticky'd...

Ok, time for me to act like the complete n00b I am, but been playing with my phone and reflashing it for the past few months. I am on sprint but running Juicy's rom and the newer Sprint radio. I've been trying to figure out what all these diferent Sprint cabs actually do. This is what I still don't understand...

DCD Sprint Carrier: Sets up Sprint Connections - What Connections? What's the result if I don't install this? Or what does this allow me to do?

Sprint Picturemail vs ArcsoftMMS - I thought Arcsoft is supposed to replace picturemail, but I don't get the picturemail account listed on my mail tab unless I install the picturemail cab too.

Sprint Update Profile and PRL - Now I read somewhere that PRL was Preferred Roaming List, so I guess if you roam alot you have to periodically manually update (download) a file to your phone that tells it where to roam and where not to (best guess). Now is the update profile thing done at the same time or is that a separate step, and what does that actually do?

Also, on the phone originally there was also a update PRI. There were several people in the Juicy thread that basically bricked their phones by trying to run that utility (they basically had to call Sprint and get walked through reprogramming their phones) so someone had posted a cab that had that shortcut removed... again not sure what it was supposed to do for you anyways.

Sorry for the long post, but this seems like my best chance to actually get all this straight for once.

Thanks in advance!
