Re: TP or Diamond
If you can handle the 4gb storage, definetly get the diamond. I have the Touch Pro and almost want to trade it for a diamond, but I really need my SD card. I previously had the touch, and when I got my pro, It took me forever to get used to the size of it, it feels enormous. Also, after using a touch for so long which has no moving parts, the touch pros loose sliding keyboard makes it feel cheap when I hold it in my hand because it wiggles around, and isnt solid like my touch was.
As for the hardware keyboard, I never use it. I used to have a 6700 and was worried about losing the keyboard when I got my touch, but I started using Touchpal and never looked back. When I got my pro I thought it would be nice to have the keyboard again, but its really just a waste, Id rather have the smaller formfactor and no moving parts.
Last but definetly not least, the Pro seems to have this weird screen lag issue that I really havent heard anyone talk about. I have compared this on 8 different phones (4 pros, 4 diamonds), but there is the slightest latency when you tap the screen on the pro, which isnt there on the diamond, or my old Touch. Its very hard to pinpoint, but it makes you feel the phone is laggy overall and just not as snappy as the diamond. Also the Pro screen seems to have problems on the edges where you have to press harder to get the screen to respond, especially the OK/close button.
Anyways, hope this helps make your decision, I think I will do the same thing with my wifes Touch and I will definetly be getting a diamond.
