Re: Using The Unlocked GPS In Google Maps?
not sure about verizon, but on sprint i run a program called quick gps that speeds up the connection to satellites. It downloads data periodically that helps you get a lock faster.

Re: Using The Unlocked GPS In Google Maps?
OK, I'm confused. Are you trying this on a Sprint device or Verizon? You're profile says verizon, but you just led us to believe you are attempting this on Sprint. The process is dependent on which carrier's rom you've installed.

Re: Using The Unlocked GPS In Google Maps?
you have to turn on your location. it is probably set to "911 only". also you need to set google to GPS on com 4 and 4800 baud. also find HTC GPS tools. run that and enter in the following under function, mode=cold start on, stress=on. make sure at the top under "open port" that it says com port:4 and baudrate: 4800. then just click "open port" and watch the satellite used change from 0 to whatever then sat fixed. once you have 3 or more sats fixed google maps should work just fine.
