I think its just Archsof that is causing the problem. Without it, text come thru fine. And text messages on my Pre are fine

Re: Updated - 06/11/09 -Text message Delaying?????

I had some delays in receiving...but never sending. That was when at my desk here at work, because I had sub-par reception.

After updating to the Sprint 1.10 radio, all is well. I am using stock WM texting on both the Stock ROM and Mighty ROM 5.

If you are experiencing delay, have you tried to make a call at all? This will sometimes force texts through for me because it establishes your 1x instead of Ev-Do.

Install Arcsoft, send yourself a text. If you don't get it...just call your voicemail or something for a few minutes and see if that helps.

Re: Updated - 06/17/09 -Text message Delaying?????

So sPrint Sent me a refurb phone that I really dont want use. So I deleted all the stuff of my phone and Text messages worked. But when I used a back up to restore my programs. Text messages started delaying. I called Sprint and had them reset my data connection and its still not workling right. Messages are arriving on the phone up to 4hours late in some cases.
I can figure this out. If i have my phone connected to my computer, most the text are coming through ok. This is really crazy.

Re: Updated - 06/17/09 -Text message Delaying?????

No arcsoft use here and my last txt received was delayed by over 12 HOURS. This is ridiculous. I don't know why but it seems like my data arrows have been on all the time recently, if that has anything to do with it. What is this about asking Sprint to reset the data connection?

Dial *@ and talk to tech support. They can walk you through resetting the data.

Re: Updated - 06/24/09 -Text message Delaying gettign worst ?????

Guys:

Can anyone post a screen shot of what your setting looks like? I thnk mine got screwed up somehow.

What I'm looking for is what the setting are under Setting>Connections>Connections>Manage Existing Connections. I need to know what everything under that tab needs to be.

Thanks

I think those settings are mostly for data, dont know if that would help your text message situation.

Anyways you can install the sprint cab here and it should fix those settings if that is your problem:
