Bricked?

Well i used BuildOS to make a rom, and it says it successfully loaded it, but now when i try to turn on the phone it just sits on the boot splash screen. I AM able to go into hardboot, but the computer still wont recognize that the phone is hooked up to the computer, in otherwords activesync doesnt work. Is my phone bricked?

Re: Bricked?

no. flash with a SD card using a premade rom. then redo your build and reflash.

Re: Bricked?

Did you try a hard reset? If that doesn't work and you can boot into the bootloader screen...just reflash see if that helps. If not grab a stock rom for carrier, flash that and rebuild your rom using the kitchen again. Now if that doesn't work, redownload the kitchen. I hope this helps a little. I am still kinda new to the flashing but it is very easy and straight forward.

I hope you get your phone working alright (and you probably will), but is it really a good idea to start cooking your own roms before you know how to hard reset, flash off of an sd card, or know for sure what the bootloader screen is? You should probably do this in smaller steps.

Talking Re: Bricked?

I suggest you flash back to a stock ROM first and start all over again, naw your phone is not bricked.... Your phone can be brought back to a full functional phone, just don't panic, as long as you can get the color screen you are good to go...

Re: Bricked?

lets back up a bit. you did unlock your phone first, right?

as far as the SD flash, go into the upgrade forum at the top of the TP main page. find a rom that you like and works with your phone. save the file to your SD card and rename(i cant remember the name but its in the flashing guide). now just follow the instructions in that post and you should be GTG.
