Re: PointUI (Home 2) : Faster than TF3D (Updated 6-3-09)

I tried PointUI for a while but eventually, I found myself going back to Rhodium TF3D. So far nothing out there that can replace it.

Re: PointUI (Home 2) : Faster than TF3D (Updated 6-3-09)

To each his own but so far I keep going back to PointUI PRO and the Pro does make a difference as far as I'm concerned. Now If I can just have Merdins 6.5 rom without touchflow and add in streaming media that works like it does on NRG 3.0 I would be set. Battery in Merdin's is best I have used for 6.5 and Point2.

I'm getting to the point that I just want the phone to just WORK and do what I want. I think I started flashing again out of boredom because Merdins was on my phone so long with very minor glitches that take time running a rom to discover....that and the itch to flash got hold again.

If you have touch pro, install the VGA version.

Re: PointUI (Home 2) : Faster than TF3D (Updated 6-3-09)

Oh, I think there was a misunderstanding somewhere... With Silence Rom's 6.1 rv3.3, people tried to "hack" tf3d for whatever purpose. But because it was the latest tf3d it had already been "patched" to work without crashing.

So Silence put out a notice saying that 'if anyone hacks/patches it they'll make it unstable which will lead to crashes.'

That's not to say you can't patch other versions, just that latest version on rv3.3.

Ok I think that'll clear it all up!

I was a big fan of classic home, especially with mobile shell, phone suite and pocket clock... but now with pui/h2 it's really working out great for me, extremely fast.

And like my sig says, i went "back" to silence rom 9, and threw point pro. its amazing!!!!!!!

Anyone know of an applet that will sync my facebook contact's pictures with the ones in my contacts? MSB did this great, hope home2 can also.

Mmm...can't say that I have. I just started using infiniti but i still use the volume control on the side to change the volume. As far as the ringer I didn't think that option was enabled yet.

Well, if you mean the clocks and whatnot then you need to apply the patch.

check them out here: http://community.pointui.com/topic/a...-black-edition

So I have installed infiniti_v2.3_VGA.zip and also the patch infiniti_v2.3.2_VGA_patch.zip With those two i get the extra clocks.

And those will give you the same clock I have in my SS.
