TRYING to unlock the SPC on a sprint touch pro so i can flash to cricket

Ok.. i'm a noob to this but i'm trying to get a friends Touch Pro to work on Cricket and really am having a hard time going about it. He hasn't activated it to Cricket yet, but i understand i need to Zero out his SPC? I used BAFTools and got his unlock code which allows me to change stuff under PST(EPST). I've tried using Qualcomms QPST to zero out his SPC but it never finds the phone when i'm adding com ports. Windows 7 fails to find one driver, maybe that has something to do with it? I'm really lost at this point. I think i'm kinda working backwards.. Previously i've unlocked the phone, flashed a cricket specific rom and flashed a cricket prl. I know i should update the prl with *228 but can't until the phone is activated. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE? lol. I think i'm on the right track, but i'm stuck on zeroing out the SPC. I'm assuming this is absolutely necessary?

did you try ##3424# and then looking under QPST Configuration to add the serial port?? heres a tutorial on how to do it i hope it helps

yeah ur on the right track bro..but use a windows xp computer 2 do this...
i had the same issue with vista and qpst and a couple other cdma unlock programs...once you get the program running its fairly cake afterwards..just hit the spc tab enter 000000 and write it 2 ur touch pro

ok, im gunna reinstall xp. ive had tons of issues with windows 7 so im figuring that is the problem. Thanks.

Was able to successfully unlock the SPC after reinstalling XP. Worked like a charm. I believe the phone is ready to activate!

. i just flashed my extra touch pro to cricket today and its already active but no mms or data still working on it

ay ezlno0423,

u might want to take a look at this..go through some trial and error and i believe this will help you get wap and mms working
