I'm in the process right at this moment, creating a new dock for my new car. I don't wanna gouge up my air vents so this one is a cup holder dock based on a belkin tune dock for a ipod that I had laying around. I am half done and will post up pictures on tomorrows day. I estimate this dock will cost me $4 in added parts, but $13 in the end because the tune dock actually only cost me $9.

try voice command over BT. I have a blue ant BT and touch "call" that starts voice command--say any app/music/gps/phone number and it launches---hands free after the initial "call" touch

I took one of my spare headphone splitters and some JB Weld. I wrapped my phone in plastic wrap to keep the JBW off of it. After plugging in the phone and setting it just right in the holder I placed to JBW around it. I forgot to take a picture of the phone and plastic wrap.


Let it set and then let it cure for 24 hours. I sanded the rough edges and then painted it black.

I can easily dock and undock my phone with one hand in the car now. *Makes it easy to pick up a call if the need ever arises*

If I had to do it over I would make sure to go over the JBW with wet fingers to create a smooth surface.

All I need now is a script to launch a app chooser when the phone senses it is docked. anyone got one?
