Screen phenomenon

Okay, here's the deal. I don't know if this is a common problem, but i'll try to describe it.

Here's how it went down:

I enter an auditorium, and set my phone on vibrate. (Hm, duh)
There are lots of phones in the area and there is a mic up at the stage.

Kay, I do some stuff (i don't remember exactly what)

then I take out my phone, turn it on (I mean wake it up, not turn it on ie soft reset) and I can't do anything. Its goes from black to blue, crosshatching between sky blue and dark blue..

[text wall breaker]

Yeah I know, WTF. I press the power button twice (to sleep and wake) and it turns from bright orange to dark orange in a fade.

This creeps me out, so I soft reset. [while my iPhone friend mocks my TP - Countered by me having 3G and him having EDGE. 8D]

It works fine afterwards, I turn it off, listen to the guy speaking up there again, and then look at my phone again (after waking it up) AND THERE IT IS AGAIN.

Mind you I can't do anything while it's in this :mode: , no hard keys, soft keys, slide out results in black screen. Weird?

Soft reset automatically fixes it

This didn't occur outside of the auditorium, the phone is fine now...

Any Ideas? What / Why is this (happening)? As title said, I'm on Sprint Touch Pro running MightyRom 5. Latest hotfix. No programs on.

edit: I have no pictures because my camera is my touch pro. >_<
