I need more info. Go to Start> settings > click on phone > services tab > select "Network Services" and press "get settings" button Now, tell me everything that's under Preferred Serving System |
Re: Updating wireless devices on May 18th!
as far as Rom, im using MightyROM 4.16
and for network services here is what it shows Home Only,------NOT SELECTED Automatic-A,----NOT SELECTED Automatic-B,----NOT SELECTED Standard,-------SELECTED Roaming Only,---NOT SELECTED Data roam guard: Never ask,------NOT SELECTED Always Ask-----NOT SELECTED Default---------SELECTED |
Re: Updating wireless devices on May 18th!
Ok, try selecting roaming only just to see if your signal improves.
If you get a better signal and you have unlimited data with roaming in your plan, then no worries. |
Re: Updating wireless devices on May 18th!
i just did as you said, the roaming triangle keeps flashing, and signals goes in and out or fluctuates from 1-3 bars
I don't know if i have unlimited data with roaming, but i know i have unlimited data plan |
Re: Updating wireless devices on May 18th!
i forgot to add, the above is still with the 30033 PRL

Go back to "standard" setting *228 option 1 to get back to 30040 prl Then switch back to roaming only and see signal results. If its better for you, call and ask if roaming is included in your plan. If it is, then you're good. The triangle will appear when roaming but there is a hack to remove that too. Just an annoyance though. Let me know how it goes Oh, make sure its at 30040 in device info |
Re: Updating wireless devices on May 18th!
did exactly what you said, and didn't make a difference............So i changed it back to Standard and still have a PRL of 30040

I don't know what else to try other than flashing different radios. Some people have had good results with different radios. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=46616 |
