I dont know why no one else can eeke out as much free RAM.

I've also tried a LOT of builds, and I always go back to 20954. 20954 benchmarks the highest, loads up \Windows\ in File Explorer in like 1.5 secs with Show All Files checked, rotates the screen instantly on keyboard out, and has the most free RAM at boot.

To the original poster, GREAT post. maybe you could add some tests like graphics or file system benchmarks. I use SK Tools trial app to benchmark.
You really like 20954 huh?

Have you tried my new SSK2.0 Final? Its sick. Wll, you can see the scores.

Scott - yes I have, it was good, but not as good as 20954. Not as fast. Plus I still prefer the OEM selections in your 1.5 kitchen the most.

Here is the big thing that 20954 does that very few other builds do. Except, it's not really a "big" thing, but I notice it and it contributes to the overall sense of speed of the build. Most builds, when you open a folder in File Explorer that has a lot of files in it, the files dont appear all at once. Rather, the 'fill in' from top to bottom. It happens quickly, but it's still not instant or all at once.

With 20954, you open a folder and the files all appear simultaneously. Yes, eve \Windows\. There is no 'fill in' effect.

SSK 2.0 was good but it did not instantly populate the files like this, and overall I saw no improvement or benefit compared to 1.5 build of 20954, so I flashed back to that and restored from a backup.

I have tried so many builds and so many different roms from so many chefs but this one just wins. I will probably only switch up for a really good 6.5 rom. |||bored|||'s 21222 (kitchen) was the fastest 6.5 I've tried so far (also tried 21202, 21500, 21501) and I ran that for a bit, but overall it still wasnt any better than 20954. For a verizon phone this is the best rom! 75 MB free RAM on boot and retardedly stable! I almost feel like going door to door like a jehovas witness to share the word of this rom....

Gotcha! Just so you know I opened up my SYS file library for use with the 2.0 Kitchen. The 20954 files are included. I have a total of 14 SYS files that will work with the 2.0 Rig.

PM me what you liked about 1.5 selections. Im always open for suggestions to newer revisions. And I also agree about what you are saying with 20954 and the refresh of the file folders. Also 20954 has the most free RAM ;c)

You know what would be cool is if someone took my kitchen and flashed and benchmarked every build.
