Re: Using AVRCP without WM
I hear your pain. I use BT to stream audiobooks when driving.
Anyway, I use Pocket Player 4.0 with TF3D on my Jabra 8010. The combo works great but doesn't resume well after calls. I am coming from Coreplayer when I had the Mogul. I don't believe there really is a reg edit or simple fix because from what I've read- HTC for some stupid reason hardwired the AVRCP into the TP to launch WM... I'd love to have someone prove me wrong though. I'm not sure why you can't seem to get PP to work- are u using the 4.0 version? Maybe I can try to help you out. Ps- I'm not sure why this isn't a hot issue with people, it's a major issue with me... |

Re: Using AVRCP without WM
yeah, thanks for the reply it does seem like people would be more on top of this than they are...ohh well. So, slowly i am starting to feel that i will have to live with it.
So with PP i have made the update/download for the plugins - either way it is saying I have downloaded everything. BlueTooth headsets plugin and Legacy Bluetooth Controls Plugin both in settings under plugins. So when i click on the Legacy BT Controls and hit configure it gicves me this message. "this plugin allows devices running the broadcom widcomm BT stack to use sterwo headphone buttons (AVRCP) to control PP. Your device does not appear to use this stack. install the WMP plugin adapter to enabel AVRCP. So i have installed teh WMP plugin adapter and can't seem to find out the right settings. Any ideas on what has worked for settings? I don't use TouchFlo and can't stand windows mobile... let me know what you think and thanks for the reply... |

AVRCP Fix
Found this in the Kinoma forums http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=114 This fixed my avrcp problems on my tp, and should work with 6.1 or 6.5 and any software package.

Re: Using AVRCP without WM
I have the same problem, as well. I'm on a Verizon HTC Touch Pro with the Silence+Mighty ROM. My headset is a Jabra BT620s, and my media player of choice is CorePlayer, with the appropriate plugins enabled ( HTC WMControl, or something along those lines). The previous/next track buttons sometimes work, though still open up WMP. The play/pause button only opens up WMP.
I tried to use the file above, but it froze my phone on startup after soft reset, thus forcing me to do a hard reset. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Re: Using AVRCP without WM
AVRCP works for me in PocketPlayer 4.0 but you have to download the WMP Plugin adapter. It works for me, but only after I start PP first. If I haven't started PP, then WMP starts up. Other than that, I have had full functionality from my BT3030.
http://www.conduits.com/products/pla...gen_wmhost.zip And then follow these instructions: HTC TouchFLO 3D users: if you have disabled TouchFLO 3D on your Today screen, this plugin is required to enable AVRCP support in Pocket Player. After installing, check the "Intercept WMP" and "HTC WMP" boxes on the Menu > More > Options > Plugins > WM Adapter > Configure screen. |

+1 It has been working for me this way also. I am currently testing the updated drive mentioned earlier to see if it will work with Kinoma also. EDIT: Cab worked great. WMP nor the Manilla player start up automatically when play is pressed now. I can control WMP, Kinoma, and Pocket Player with the controls. I cannot however, control the manilla player via BT anymore though...
