Just have to ask, because when I got my TP from Ebay I wondered a similar thing...are you sure it's not the screen protector peeling up? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding your issue. The original owner of my TP had the screen protector on but the side opposite the volume buttons just never stayed down properly. For a day or so after I got the phone I worried that it was something wrong with the screen as I've never had a near-flush-screen phone before.

I dont think a screen protector is the issue at all. I actually bought one to try to keep the button down but it didnt work. Im going to file a claim pretty soon. Im glad i have TEP.
