Any simple way to clear this
my start menu is a mess normally when i softreset the recent section will clear ...
 is there a program i can use to clear it ? or a setting ive missed

I believe they are stored in the registry @
HKCU\Software\MicroSoft\Shell\TaskSwitch "0"="\program1" .... "11"="\program12" If you set those registry entries to "" then that will clear them. Not aware of a program, maybee someone can hook you up with some mortscript scripts...

used "clear temp " check all the box's and clean. it should remove the recently used programs
