Cisco Anyconnect VPN - rename localhost?

I just installed Cisco anyconnect VPN on my touch pro. after logging in and my credentials are accepted, i receive the message ""Unable to establish VPN." According to ciscos website, a windows machine cannot be called localhost. Where would i rename this on my device?

"Windows Machine Cannot Be Named localhost Microsoft allows a user to configure the machine name as "localhost" without any warnings. When a machine has the name of localhost, connections made with the SSL VPN Client or IPSec VPN Client fail.
AnyConnect Client connections fail without logs clearly outlining the issue. The AnyConnect message is "Unable to establish VPN." IPSec VPN Client connections fail with Reason 442. To work around this issue, rename the PC to something other than localhost"

Re: Cisco Anyconnect VPN - rename localhost?

i think the problem actually is caused by activex control or java not being able to be accessed/installed as is required by the software.

anyone know if this might be specific to the touch pro? i could not find any specifics on cisco or microsoft website. it is supported on WM but the documentation/troubleshooting is severly lacking.

Re: Cisco Anyconnect VPN - rename localhost?

I haven't actually attempted it yet however the Touch Pro last I checked was not a supported device for the Anyconnect client. In addition to that you need to disable TouchFLO. You may have already been aware of that.

Re: Cisco Anyconnect VPN - rename localhost?

Looking for the Cisco Mobile VPN software. Cisco has it on their website but need a password to DL it from there. Any other copies floating around?

Re: Cisco Anyconnect VPN - rename localhost?

With AnyConnect, is there anything else that may have to be done in the Connections area in Settings? There is a place there for adding a VPN.

Just checked over at XDA and all I got was this...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=461754

Explaining some of the compatibility and also the TF3D issue.
