Can you even make a regular phone call? If you can't you won'tbe going to get it online.

so after a hard reset-- still the same problem... still cant call *2 or *4 and i cant connect to the web- and yes i can make regular phone calls ..

Data While roaming does work on Sprints network... Heres some information to help you out. The PRL update you are trying to do, will not work while you are roaming. As for *2 and *4... theese services do not work while roaming as well. These features are disabled bIF ypecause you are roaming off of another carriers tower. sprint doesnt want you to take the chance of dialing *2 and connecting to Verizons tech support or Alltels Tech support.

Now... The error 67 is a registration failure. It means bad username and bad password. Before we go any further, you can place regular phone calls to a 10 digit number right? If voice doesnt work data will never work, unless you are using Wi-Fi. You are provisioned with a sprintpcsusername and a sprintpcs password.

Your problem can be with the towers you are roaming off... Personally I would call sprint at 1888-211-4727 from a landline phone as they will not be able to assist you if you are calling from your cell phone. They should be able to manually program your phone with the sprintpcs username and password to sign online.

Remember... If you flash a new radio or not, it might not help. Sprint has agreements with other carriers on roaming. The other carrier might not allow data roaming where you are staying. If you call in for support, they can answer this question for you. There are tools they use to look this information up.

You beat me to it...It was getting painful reading half this thread on why someone cannot dial carrier specific speeddials while roaming...thought that would have been obvious. Also, it is not absolutely correct that you cannot get data if you cannot make calls. Voice authentication is seperate from data, so it is possible, even if unlikely, that you can get data but not make calls and vice versa. Assuming you have the correct sprint pcs username/password, then like brndnddge said, it may be there is no data roaming agreement in that area. It is also worth saying that bad DMU keys can cause a username/password error, but those cannot be reset while roaming.

well when im in san fran i can connect to the internet, use my pic mail, use slingbox and everything - when i come up to sonora - i cant.. so my user name and pw are correct. also when i go back home to ny it works as well.. i just went on to the sprint site and checked the network area and up the hills it says roaming -- i kinda figured *2 and *4 wouldnt work cuz im off network -- i mean if i cant use data up here its no big deal but it would be nice to be able to use it.
