They'll be able to flag you for one. When you call if they do flag it then when you call *2 again it updates that for you.

...tried calling *2 .. says unknown caller for about 5 seconds and it gives me a 3 burst short turn and ends the call?

That is completely weird. I can't remember but if sprint call centers are open, give them a call and get transferred to tech support. Wish I could help.

*2 doesnt work at all
*4 connects gives me a weird tone- then pauses then gives me the 3 burst tone...

... is this all because im in an area with no sprint service?

I'm not sure. It shouldn't give you the tone and hang up. The most it should do is not even connect. If I were you, I'd back up the files and hard reset it.
