Re: Touch Pro Defects
I had one of the first pros (best buy 10/13 build date) and it was very sturdy until some crazy **** started on 11/12... so i got my current pro with a 10/24 (or 10/23) and it is near perfect

Re: Touch Pro Defects
I have the "button that sticks up a couple millimeters" problem. Early build for the TP (got it the first day Telus released it).
If only there was a quick fix. I don't want to warranty repair this, becuase I'd lose use of my TP for up to a month. |

Re: Touch Pro Defects
I got mine in February - think it was built in late January. Besides the back creaking when I type (I added the masking tape to the inside which helped), mine seems to be built pretty well. However, the entire package - since it is plastic - could be better. While it feels good weight wise, the overall feel is a little "cheap". If the TP2 is this way - considering its size - I may be disappointed.

Re: Touch Pro Defects
I'm pretty sure I've had every defect EXCEPT the cracking chrome... but none of my phones have lasted long enough to happen, and they get nothing but gentle pocket time, with nothing else in my pocket.
Bad earpiece (yay early build phones) Raised home key Keyboard failures Screen failures Unevenly lit keyboard backlight Loose slide Creeking back case I've accepted the issues on any phone I get, unless it prevents me from using the phone, or will cause further damage. An unevenly lit keyboard? Big deal. I may even let cracked chrome slide. My Helio Ocean had a much more durable slide mechanism than the TP has, but the form factor was a little different, and the slide seemed to be much more robust because there was more room to work with. The TP slides like 75% of the device, while the Ocean barely made 50%. Additionally, there were a few reviews which gave a "solid-feeling slide mechanism" as a plus for the Ocean. I'd imagine it's on the "better-than-average" part of the scale. |

Re: Touch Pro Defects
I had the keyboard go bad, the screen sensitivity weaken, and the jiggly screen all with 2 weeks of extremely gentle use.
New TP seems good though... And it is almost a week old.

Re: Touch Pro Defects
My first one had a bad keyboard I guess. I had it for 4 days, then my keyboard would go on and out. On day 7, I woke up and went to reply to a txt I received over night, opened up the phone, Gone. Keyboard was completely out. I thought it might come on during the day, but I was wrong. Took it back and got a new one. Iv had this one for almost 2 weeks I would say, and everything is good. The keyboard on this one feels tighter than the other one, so I probably got a slapped together peice of crud.
