VZW TP: Physical keyboard locks up

Hello all,

I have tried searching, but I'm a robot and cannot see the letters in the box

I am having an issue with my VZW Touch Pro where the physical keyboard likes to lock up on me randomly while texting. Once this happens, I have to soft-reset it to get it working again.

It only seems to happen texting (not in opera/ie/email), but then again, 99% of the typing I do on this phone is through texts.

This is not ROM specific, either. It has happened on SSK, MightyROM, and stock.

I searched in google and it seems Sprint TP's have had this issue, but I haven't seen anyone with a VZW TP report this yet.

Q: Is this something that could possibly be fixed via software? If it's a hardware defect, can you help me understand how a soft-reset fixes it?

I have a feeling I will eventually need to do a warranty claim, but I would like to avoid that if possible.

i was having the same problem so i flashed it with the stock rom and it continued to have the same problem ended up being my phone
