Re: Data/Internet while connected to ActiveSync

I'm having what seems to be a simliar problem.

At work, I leave my TP connected via USB to ActiveSync all day. I have no problems with internet except that if I try to surf on my phone it's traffic is going through my work connection and thus some sites are blocked by the company firewall. Also, if someone sends me a picture message (i'm on Sprint) while i'm connected via USB to my work PC I won't ever get it. It'll be in the online portal but never come to my phone.

Anyone have an idea as to how to force my phone to NOT use the PC's internet connection?

Another twist is that when I plug my TP into my laptop (which is connected to the web via WiFi) at home via USB the laptop's wireless connection craps out for as long as the phone is connected to the USB port and usually requires a restart of XP to get it back working once the phone's been disconnected... Weird, right?

Anyone that can help with this would be my hero!

Re: Data/Internet while connected to ActiveSync

Well, if you are connected to your pc or laptop with activesync working and your in sync then your phone shouldn't use your pc's internet connection unless you are using internet sharing.
I think.

Re: Data/Internet while connected to ActiveSync

Also, if you loose connectivity on your phone you should check and make sure that your phone is not set to disconnect when your data is inactive for a certain period of time.
