Re: Data reverted to Sprint / hard reset
I had the same thing happen to me. When I hard reset my phone I used the clear storage icon in settings which I will never do again. To resolve this (at least for me) you need to call verizon and ask the rep nicely to reset your DMU keys. If they ask tell them you have an Alltel Touch Pro. Dont say the S word (Sprint). Just fake your way through it until they reset those keys. That worked for me.

I always thought that & a hardware button reset where the same thing but they're not. I have since always used the PITA hardware button hard restore & both that & ROM flashing where no problem (& I've done it probably 30 times although I am done flashing at this point) ~John |

Re: Data reverted to Sprint / hard reset
By the way, I have my HA and AAA secret keys saved to my card & also all the settings from QPST saved to a file on my card just in case................

Re: Data reverted to Sprint / hard reset
Oh ok, so the auth failing for Sprint doesn't matter? I have it on my account that I have a Alltel TP (which I do) so getting a DMU reset on th Sprint shouldn't take much to get done.
Only done a hardware reset once, apparently its different for every version of the TP. Know what it is for the Sprint model? I'll be sure to dump his auth keys once it's active again (surprised it activated OTA for voice/sms, must have his ESN/MEID added to the DMD). |
