Re: Magnet cases and micro sd cards

I had three 2GB memory cards crap out, I cannot get them to show up on the phone or in a card reader. I have tried recovery programs, other card readers, other computers but nothing. I keep mine in a plastic case and in my pocket if I am out and about, my 1GB and 512MB still work fine. I thought there was a posting on recovering memory cards that are corrupted but I cannot find it when I did a search.

Re: Magnet cases and micro sd cards

A 4gb sanddisk went crazy on me when I had a Mogul coz I think i was rough on it ,taking it in and out without making sure process in pc was completely stopped, I spent sometime troubleshooting it, al kinds of formatting, locking and unlocking, putting tapes, using card readers,,pocket mechanic.....to no avail. .suggestion, eject safely, I got it replaced via their site support and all is well with it. Now I use an 8gb trans ...no prob

Re: Magnet cases and micro sd cards

Sandisk has 2 "brands".

The Sandisk "cheap" brand which is like having a Yugo.
And the Sandisk Ultra/Extreme series, which seems to be of better quality.

I personally prefer Lexar based on camera experience.

Kingston, Patriot and Corsair are all big names in the PC memory industry. In theory, they should all be fine as well.
