How do I install Telenav instead of Sprint Navigation?

Hello,

I'm interested in installing Telenav for Windows Mobile instead of Sprint Navigation. I know they're technically the same thing, but Telenav looks prettier.

Anyways, I'm on a Sprint Touch Pro running Windows Mobile 6.5.

I went to http://ota.telenav.com/ota/sn/ on my phone to download. I downloaded the CAB for the HTC Mongul. It downloaded and installed successfully, but when I try to log in, it says "Your account has expired." My Sprint Navigation worked yesterday before I put WM6.5 on.

Any ideas on this? I thought I remember some other posts saying that others have just installed Telenav and it just works.

Or should I be using a different CAB file?

You can grab one of the telenav cabs around the site.

You'll have to go to telenav's site and get a PIN.

You get a one month free trial... past that, it's an additional $9.9something a month. Sprint Navigation is NOT the same thing! Telenav is a separate add-on to your plan.

Hmm, that's ashame. They're both identical as far as service goes, correct?

I did get a pin from Sprint Navigation, and when I go to My Telenav, I can login with it, and all of my contacts and favorites show up that were on my Sprint Navigation.

Oh, well, I guess I'll just install Sprint Nav.

unless it is free to you I suggest you try Mapquest Nav, much better than telenav and 50 bucks a year....includes night mode

Yes they are 100% the same when it comes to service. Telenav just looks better and costs extra per month, which I think is pretty dumb.

That is true but if you have the sprint nav in your plan it doesn't cost anything.....use the link that Nxtech3 posted (ty for that) and download it to your PPC. As long as you have your PIN number you are good to go.

I second that, I have the simply everything plan with Sprint, and it doesn't cost anything to use Telenav, I just log in using my pin that I have with Sprint Nav and voila!

TeleNav does not cost extra...I put 5.16 on my touch pro and use the same log-in as I use for Sprint Nav with no problems whatsoever...TeleNav just has much better looking graphics on the VGA phone...

That's a good sign. How long have you been using it without paying anything extra?

TeleNav's login is different.

Sprint Navigation asks for First/Last name and e-mail.

Telenav only asks for a PIN number.

Your Telenav is going to expire in a month.
